Land governance in transition: How to support transformations that work for people and nature?
OpenForests will join the LANDac Annual International Conference “Land governance in transition”.
The conference offers a podium for researchers, practitioners and private sector representatives interested in land governance for equitable and sustainable development. The 2019 Conference looks at land governance through the lens of transformations.
Why OpenForests joins the conference?
We join the conference, because we see the importance to have land tenure rights in place which especiall protect the rights of small-holders and forest dependent communities.
With the explorer.land we want to provide a mapping tool to transparently communicate land tenure and land use.
By providing interactive and easy to use mapping tools, we want to strengthen land-use rights by making traditional as well as legal land demarcations visible.
